Sucker Rod is an important part of rod pumping equipment. It is connected to the rod string through the coupling, which is used to transfer the reciprocating motion of the surface pumping unit to the downhole pump or the rotary torque of the screw pump motor to the downhole screw pump. Sucker rod according to mechanical properties are divided into: C, K, D, KD, HL, HY.
Sinker bar, a steel rod of a specified length, normally in a larger diameter than sucker rods, is provided in standard sizes with externally threaded ends offered to add weight and stability to the sucker rod string.
