Audited Supplier Drill collar is a bar made of solid steel, either common carbon steel or non-magnetic steel alloy. It is used in the drilling of oil wells for weighting drill bit, enabling it to drill through rock. Drill collar is the lowest element of a drill string. Our drill collars are manufactured strictly according to API standard.
There are different kinds of drill collars,including round drill collar,spiral drill collar,non-magnetic drill collar,square drill collar and so on.Ordinary drill collar is the circular cross section, the center has a water hole,the wall thickness is larger,the nozzle is smaller, the weight of per unit length is greater than the size of drill pipe almost 4- 5 times .The majority of drill collar is thread processing directly on the pipe body , but some of them also use the replaced joint
1. Material: P550,P540,P530
2. Shape: It is the round pipe with smooth surface and thick wall, and the both ends are machined screw thread for connection.
3. Use: It is mainly used for the inspection in the process of petroleum drilling.
4. Standard: API Spec 7-1 or SY/T5144 Standard.
5. Inspection&Test: When producing, traceability are maintained from the receipt of raw material to completion of final products, and serial numbers are die-stamped on each workpiece body. During each manufacturing process, inspection and test are performed.
6. Magnetic permeability(MPS=1×105/4∏A/m)
1). Average: Ur<1.010.
2). Magnetic Field Gradient: ΔB≤0.05μT.
